Sharp’s Easter Egg Charity Collection a Cracking Success once again!
Sharp Consultancy’s annual Easter Egg Charity Collection has hatched success once again resulting in a record haul of 750 chocolate treats thanks to generous donations from our clients.
Charities and organisations from across South Yorkshire were gifted Easter eggs after this year’s efforts gathered more donations than ever before.
For the third year running, Sharp visited youth homeless charity, Roundabout (www.roundabouthomeless.org/). Caitlin Hodgkinson, Communications Coordinator at Roundabout, said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to Sharp Consultancy’s Easter Egg Appeal this year. We support over 180 young people at any one time and we advise many more young people on a daily basis at our Prevention Centre and in schools and colleges, so it means a lot to us that we have a gift for each individual. We strongly rely on the generosity of local people and businesses to support our work so that we can continue to be there for vulnerable young people at risk of homelessness. Whether you organise an event, raise sponsorship or choose us as your Charity of the Year, you’ll be helping to give young people in your region a brighter future.”
Transactional recruiter Hayleigh Murray visited Doncaster Deaf Trust (https://www.deaf-trust.co.uk/) – which includes the school for the deaf, care home, college and nursery and was benefiting from the appeal for the first time.
She said: “Having lived in Doncaster all my life, it was staggering to see the site in its entirety! I honestly cannot believe how many functions the Doncaster Deaf Trust have and quite how many people they help from nursery age right through to later life.
“It was rewarding to see the kids’ faces when we arrived with the eggs and we look forward to working with them again… Sharp Consultancy have made a firm friend in the Doncaster Deaf Trust.”
Andy Ellis, Business Development Manager for the Trust, was delighted to host Sharp and added: “Sometimes a kind word or gesture speaks volumes, especially when it brings joy to the children in our care. Sharp Consultancy surprised the children with 250 chocolate eggs and you couldn’t buy the smiles that these put on their faces. Those smiles brought other smiles- to their parents, their friends and their families – this is what a kind gesture can do; a gift far greater than any other.”
Finally, pupils at local primary school, Phillimore Primary, based just around the corner from Sharp Consultancy’s Sheffield office were able to enjoy an egg-stra special Easter treat and teacher Sophie Bell summed up the mood of the whole school when she said: “Our children were absolutely delighted and we are overwhelmed to be honest with how many Easter Eggs Sharp have brought us! It’s brought a real buzz to the school!”
Ben Graney, business director in the Sheffield office of Sharp Consultancy once again led the campaign and was taken aback by the generosity and efforts by local clients. He said: “This year has again seen overwhelming kindness from our clients and their employees which has enabled us to provide 750 young people with the gift of an Easter egg. Many of these individuals have found themselves dealing with issues and problems that most of us are fortunate enough to never even contemplate, so to bring a smile to their faces seems the very least we can do.”
The Sharp Consultancy Easter Egg Collection Drive will return in 2020 – to find out more about how you or your business can support next year’s appeal, please contact Ben Graney on 0114 261 1700 / 07943 577 233 or email@example.com
