Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the collection of outstanding customer payments via phone and email in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Investigate and resolve basic account or payment queries, escalating where required.

  • Maintain accurate notes and update internal systems with payment statuses and communications.

  • Check sales ledger entries for accuracy, identifying and correcting any discrepancies.

  • Provide administrative support to the credit control team, including preparation of weekly and monthly reports.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the wider finance team to ensure efficient and effective processes are followed.

  • Adhere to company policies and compliance guidelines in all credit control activities.

Person Specification:

  • Some experience within a finance or credit control environment is desirable.

  • Confident user of Excel

  • Good communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Willingness to work towards relevant qualifications such as AAT or CICM
