Credit Control

Job description

Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking to join a successful, fast-growing retail business where your skills will truly make an impact?

I am working closely with a well-established and ambitious retail business based in Rotherham. They are proud to have experienced consistent year-on-year growth for the past five years — and are showing no signs of slowing down. With continued expansion across the business, they’re now looking to grow their finance team steadily and strategically, adding the right people slowly but surely to support their long-term success.

This is an exciting time to join a thriving organisation with a strong track record and even bigger plans for the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain customer accounts to ensure timely payments and minimise overdue debt

  • Build strong relationships with clients to resolve queries and negotiate payment plans

  • Liaise with internal departments to support accurate billing and account management

  • Prepare reports and assist with month-end processes

  • Identify and contribute to process improvements as the business continues to grow

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable

  • Strong communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving approach

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and accounting software

What’s in it for you:

  • Competitive salary and bonus opportunities

  • Excellent benefits package, including pension and staff discounts

  • Ongoing professional development and training

  • Genuine opportunities for career progression as both the business and finance team expand

  • A supportive, friendly, and ambitious team environment within a growing retail brand

If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and join a company that’s built on steady success, strong values, and a clear vision for the future, this could be the perfect role for you!
