Accounts Payable Assistant

Sharp Consultancy are working in partnership with a rapidly growing and highly reputable business based in the heart of Sheffield. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to appoint an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team on a Full time & Permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing high volumes of purchase invoices with accuracy and attention to detail

  • Matching, batching, and coding invoices

  • Handling supplier queries and reconciling statements

  • Assisting with payment runs and managing the accounts payable inbox

  • Supporting month-end processes and providing ad hoc support to the wider finance team

 

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a similar Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines

  • Confident communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers

  • A proactive and positive approach with a willingness to learn and develop
