Credit Controller

 

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable engaging with clients over the phone and in face-to-face meetings and has experience managing international accounts across multiple currencies.

 

Primary Duties:

  • Oversee a group of international client accounts, ensuring prompt recovery of outstanding payments.

  • Initiate contact with clients through calls, emails, Teams, and face-to-face meetings to address concerns and secure payment.

  • Track and reconcile account activity, maintaining precision across various currencies.

  • Enter and update invoice data in accordance with internal guidelines and timelines.

  • Work closely with departments such as Underwriting, Claims, and Finance to resolve account disputes and escalate issues when needed.

  • Deliver consistent updates and performance reports to the Team Leader regarding account status and overdue balances.

  • Assist in enhancing processes and actively participate in team-driven projects.

 

Core Skills & Background:

  • Demonstrated success in credit control, preferably within insurance or financial services.

  • Effective communicator, comfortable with both phone and in-person interactions.

  • Skilled in handling global accounts and navigating multi-currency environments (e.g., USD, EUR, GBP).

  • High level of accuracy and self-sufficiency in task execution.

  • Competent in Microsoft Excel and financial platforms such as SAP.

  • Capable of managing priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

  • Enjoys working in a cooperative and encouraging team culture.
