Senior Finance Analyst

We are seeking a commercially driven Senior Finance Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Finance, this role will take ownership of budgeting and forecasting processes while delivering detailed analysis on sales, margins, and other key commercial drivers. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy and supporting informed decision-making across the business.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional looking to bridge operational finance with strategic planning. You will translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that directly influence profitability and performance. Additionally, you will manage two direct reports who provide support in KPI reporting and budget preparation, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial information.

 

Benefits to include:

  • Salary between £60,000 - £65,000

  • 2 days WFH

Duties and responsibilities to include:

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decision-making, scenario planning, and long-term forecasting

  • Act as a Business Partner with production, sales, and commercial teams to align financial objectives with operational goals

  • Provide financial insight to support pricing strategies, margin improvement, and cost control initiatives

  • Manage end-to-end budgeting and forecasting processes, consolidating inputs from multiple business units

  • Deliver detailed variance analysis and provide actionable insights to improve financial performance

  • Evaluate business cases for new projects, investments, and CAPEX proposals

  • Conduct ROI analysis and advise senior stakeholders on financial viability and risk implications

  • Monitor market trends, operational performance, and cost structures to proactively identify risks

  • Collaborate with leadership to implement robust risk management frameworks

  • Prepare comprehensive MI reports, including KPIs, trend analysis, and performance dashboards and present to SLT

  • Oversee two direct reports, ensuring accurate KPI reporting and budget preparation

 

Person Specification:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified
