Senior Finance Analyst

Job description

We’re working with an industry-leading, international manufacturing business to recruit a Senior Finance Analyst in Bradford. This is a highly visible role, working closely with operations, supply chain, and senior leadership to deliver financial insights that drive manufacturing performance and profitability.

As Senior Finance Analyst, you’ll focus on cost analysis, margin management, and operational performance, turning complex financial and production data into actionable insights that support decision-making across the business. You’ll be a key partner to operational teams, ensuring financial discipline while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Preparing detailed standard costing, variance, and margin analysis across products, sites, and business units.

  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning with a focus on manufacturing operations and cost control.

  • Partnering with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to provide financial insight that drives operational decisions.

  • Supporting monthly management accounts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, including commentary on variances and key operational metrics.

  • Producing management reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analysis to track performance against KPIs.

  • Identifying cost reduction opportunities, operational efficiencies, and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Supporting investment appraisals, capex projects, and other strategic manufacturing initiatives.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or finalist with strong manufacturing finance experience).

  • Proven experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or manufacturing/operations finance, with hands-on exposure to costing, variances, and margin analysis.

  • Advanced Excel skills; Power BI / Tableau experience desirable.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence both finance and operational stakeholders.

  • Proactive, curious mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
