A well-established professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join its regional finance function based in Sheffield.

About the Role

Reporting into senior regional finance leadership, you will take ownership of financial management across several entities. This position combines strong technical accounting expertise with commercial insight and stakeholder engagement.

You will be responsible for maintaining robust financial controls, delivering accurate and timely reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance and driving continuous process improvement. The successful candidate will act as a key contact for senior operational leaders, providing meaningful financial insight to support strategic and operational decision-making.

This role would suit a technically strong, commercially aware finance professional who enjoys working within a fast-paced, international setting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead monthly management accounts preparation and performance reporting

  • Support budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning

  • Oversee statutory accounts production and coordinate external audit processes

  • Ensure compliance with UK and international tax requirements, liaising with advisors where required

  • Review payroll, VAT submissions and local regulatory reporting

  • Maintain balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations and quarterly reviews

  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity and working capital performance

  • Partner with transactional finance teams to enhance accuracy and efficiency

  • Strengthen financial controls and contribute to systems and process improvements

 

About You:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)

  • Experience in a multi-entity or international environment, ideally within professional or business services

  • Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and tax compliance

  • Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capability

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills

  • Confident communicator able to engage effectively with senior stakeholders

  • Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach
