Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be exclusively working with a leading business based near Chesterfield in sourcing a Qualified/Qualified by experience Part-Time Finance Manager (22 hours flexible working) to join their established finance team reporting directly into the Finance Director.
This role will pay up to £42,000 FTE and be responsible for the completeness of the General Ledger alongside timely and accurate production of the Management Accounts.
Furthermore, you will be pro-active and innovative in seeking to ensure that the financial and information systems contribute to the growth and efficiency of the Company whilst maintaining oversight of the effectiveness of the systems of financial control.
Responsibilities include:
*To prepare the monthly and year-end financial accounting and liaise with the auditors.
*To prepare monthly management accounts for all companies within agreed deadlines
*To undertake detailed costing, analysis and reporting on the Company's activities when required
*To monitor systems of financial control and advise on improvements across the Company.
*Ensure all income is correctly recorded within the Company's accounting systems in accordance with statutory requirements.
*To maintain records of expenditure in accordance with statutory requirements
*Ensure the accurate monthly maintenance of the general ledger.
*Review all ledger activity monthly and identify incorrect postings or areas of concern or opportunity as they arise.
*Responsible for all balance sheet and control account reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner
*Responsible for the accurate recording of Company stock levels monthly and at the end of the financial year
*Investigate any stock discrepancies or concerns as and when they arise.
*Maintain inter-company accounts as required, ensuring regular reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies as and when they arise.
*Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of quarterly VAT returns
*Monthly meetings with budget holders to review costs.
