​We are excited to be recruiting a Finance Manager/Senior Management Accountant position for a manufacturing business in Huddersfield. Playing a critical role in supporting and improving the financial performance of the UK manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with operations to deliver insight, drive margin improvements, and support strategic cost management. You’ll manage a small team and be the key link between finance and other departments such as production, planning, procurement, and sales.

Key responsibilities as Finance Manager will include;

  • Lead and develop 2 Management Accountants

  • Run the month-end process for several business units across multiple manufacturing sites

  • Collaborate with departmental heads to set, monitor, and manage budgets

  • Deliver monthly variance analysis and performance insights

  • Support forecasting and long-term strategic planning

  • Business partner with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams

  • Stock accounting delivering stock reports and analysis with commentary

  • Support finance transformation projects

  • Support new product development initiatives by providing robust costing and margin analysis

  • Continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and internal controls

  • Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA)

  • Proven experience in manufacturing finance, especially in stock-heavy environments

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholders

  • Confident managing people, developing teams, and driving high performance

  • Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting

  • Experience with financial systems and reporting tools is a plus
