An exciting opportunity has become available for a Finance Manager to join a family-owned service business based in Sheffield. This is a number one in finance role reporting directly into the Managing Director and managing a small team.
The role has been engineered to take full control of the finance function, offering autonomy as well as a seat on the senior management team alongside a handful of other directors. As Finance Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the business's financial strategy and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Duties and responsibilities to include:
* Acting as overall finance lead within the business
* Oversee financial reporting processes including budget and forecast analysis
* Full production of monthly management accounts
* Implement cost control measures to drive business performance and profitability
* Month end close including posting journals, running the systems updates and closing sales, purchase and nominal ledgers
* Production of budgets & annual forecasts
* Cash management of daily / weekly cash flow
* Completion of quarterly VAT returns and bank reconciliations
* Support the development of a small finance team
Person Specification:
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA studier or Qualified by Experience
* Previous experience of working in a senior finance position
