Management Accountant

Job description

We are partnering with a leading SME manufacturing organisation to recruit a proactive Management Accountant/Finance Business Partner to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional to play a key role in supporting operational teams, driving performance, and influencing strategic decisions across the manufacturing function.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, providing insights and guidance to enhance profitability, efficiency, and decision-making. You will combine strong financial expertise with a practical understanding of manufacturing operations to deliver actionable analysis and recommendations.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with manufacturing operations and senior stakeholders to provide commercial and financial insight.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes.
  • Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs, variances, and KPIs, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare management reports, dashboards, and financial commentary to inform decision-making.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to optimise operational performance and cost efficiency.
  • Challenge and support operational teams to ensure financial discipline and effective resource management.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent, with relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated success in a finance business partnering capacity.
  • Exceptional analytical skills coupled with demonstrable commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capability to influence at all levels.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and solution-focused approach.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) is highly advantageous.
