Sharp Consultancy are excited to be working with a well-established and growing specialist manufacturing business based in the Rotherham area. This outstanding business has ambitious growth plans in place to continually increase turnover, and as such have identified a need for a newly created Management Accountant position to support the wider finance team, senior management team and in driving business performance forward.
The business is looking for an ambitious, driven person looking to develop within the role by reporting into the Financial Controller and oversee the finance support team. Full study support will be provided to help the further development of yourself.
This position would ideally suit an individual looking for the next step in their career as the business offers scope to continually grow and develop alongside furthering qualification and studies (if applicable).
Duties and responsibilities:
*Posting all month end journals including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets
*Balance sheet reconciliation
*Preparation and review of the P&L
*Commentary on performance and variances
*Analysis of daily cash movements and variance analysis
*Preparation of a rolling 13-week cashflow
*Assisting with preparation of the board pack
*Weekly sales forecasting
*Maintaining fixed asset register
*Profitability analysis
*Monitoring of sales trends
*Reviewing invoices
*Foreign payments to suppliers
Requirements:
*Experience with management accounts
*Confident presenting and explaining accounts/variances
*Ability to analyse data and use appropriate tools to ensure it is understandable to non-accountants in the business
*Strong skills in Microsoft excel
*Ability to work within a team
*Strong communication and organisational skills
