Management Accountant

Job description

Sharp Consultancy is delighted to partner with a well-established and expanding manufacturing business in Sheffield, seeking someone at the early to mid-stages of their ACCA or CIMA studies. This is a varied role where you will receive exposure to private equity and have scope within the role to be more commercial, having exposure to finance business partnering.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce monthly management accounts with accurate journals, variance analysis and commentary.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.

  • Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and challenge.

  • Monitor KPIs and highlight risks, opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls.

  • Assist with financial modelling and business cases.

  • Work closely with the Finance Business Partner and present insights to stakeholders.

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Studying towards ACCA or CIMA, with strong ambition to progress.

  • Experience as an Assistant Management Accountant or similar, ready to step up.

  • Understanding month-end processes, variance analysis and management reporting.

  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across the business.
