You will perform a valuable role primarily assisting the directors in identifying potential investment opportunities, managing various elements of the deal process through due diligence and on to completion. However, a smaller part of the role entails working with the portfolio businesses too, helping them achieve their business plans - in effect all the key components of private equity - originate, execute, develop and exit are present within this role.
To be considered you will need to meet a strict set of criteria; you must have qualified with a quality firm of accountants and have up to date professional practice transactional experience (or p.e. experience). Decent modelling skills are required, at least to working knowledge of macro's and pivot tables. Academically you will be a high achiever and have first class inter-personal skills, an interest in corporate finance and funding and a wider commercial interest. Deal experience within corporate recovery / restructuring, transaction services / due diligence, corporate finance or private equity will be essential.
