Our client has developed award winning products over a sustained period of growth within several different sectors. The role will be based out of the head office in Sheffield with an international coverage of all the business subsidiaries and operating regions.
Reporting directly into the Group FD this is an exceptional role, suiting someone looking for an opportunity to step out of their current situation and take on real responsibility and autonomy to heavily influence a progressive and successful market leader.
Job Purpose:
*To take responsibility for the Group's reporting and analysis of management information
*Lead the process for evaluating and approving new business opportunities
*Drive the effectiveness of the monthly Business Review Process
*Evaluation of major capital investment proposals
*Ensure that the Group's R&D activities are effectively controlled and reported
*Management of the Group Management Accounts team
*Manage specific projects as appropriate
Key personal attributes:
*Dynamic, proactive attitude - ability to improve performance and processes
*Pride in accuracy and attention to detail
*Ability to be flexible, with a team-based approach
*Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) accountant
*Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
*Strong commercial awareness
*Experience of business process improvement / automation
*Ability to drive insight from data to support key business decisions
