Leading PLC organisation based in the York/Leeds area currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Financial Accountant to join their expanding finance function in a newly created Senior Group Accountant position.

Working with the newly appointed Group Finance Director you will have the opportunity to not only add real value to the team but also progress your career in a business that prides itself on internal development and promotion.

Your role will involve:
*Statutory reporting producing annual and half year results at Board level.
*Group consolidations including journals and primary statements including GAAP reconciliations.
*Working with auditors and external advisors advising and presenting accurate accounting for potential acquisitions.
*Group reporting leading the introduction and monitoring of new financial standards
*Internal controls such as tax, treasury and technical reporting.
*Annual budget reporting providing meaningful commercial narrative to the numbers.
*Reporting to and liaising with senior stake holders across the Group in US, Europe and Asia.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate in your career to date:
*ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualification.
*Previous experience within a senior level within professional practice - Audit Manager and above. OR
*PLC exposure within a financial accounting/technical reporting role.
*Career progression and a desire to continue that development in a rapidly expanding PLC environment.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for a strong ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified technical Accountant to develop their experience and add commercially relevant skill sets to their experience.
