Sharp Consultancy is partnering with a fast-growing £30 million turnover business based in Doncaster to recruit a Financial Controller. The company has earned a strong reputation for providing high-quality, innovative products to both UK and international customers.

 

This newly created position is a direct result of the company’s continued growth and ambitious future plans. As Financial Controller, you will take charge of the financial operations, leading the day-to-day management of finances and ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of all financial activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the monthly management accounts, ensuring they are completed accurately and on time.

  • Provide insightful financial reporting to senior management, highlighting key trends and variances.

  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes to support financial planning and decision-making.

  • Ensure the business maintains strong internal controls and is fully compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee the external audit process and collaborate with auditors as needed.

 

About You:

We are looking for a qualified management accountant who is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to take a hands-on approach to finance. Required Skills & Experience:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified, or Qualified by Experience.

  • Experience in management accounting, including the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.

  • A proactive, organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Confidence in communicating financial information to non-financial stakeholders and senior management.
