Key responsibilities will include;

  • Lead the production of monthly management accounts, group consolidations, and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Take full responsibility for financial reporting across the group, ensuring compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP

  • Manage and develop a small finance team, overseeing day-to-day transactional activity and month-end close

  • Lead the year-end process and act as primary contact for external auditors

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning across multiple sites

  • Deliver insightful analysis to support commercial and strategic decisions

  • Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, controls, and reporting processes

  • Act as a key business partner to operational leaders, supporting project delivery and cost control

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory obligations

Ideally will be able to demonstrate the below experience;

  • Fully Qualified ACA or ACCA (or equivalent)

  • Strong technical accounting background, with group reporting and consolidation experience

  • Experience in an SME, multi-site, or engineering/manufacturing environment is highly desirable

  • Previous leadership experience or a desire to step into a finance leadership role

  • Strong commercial acumen with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach
