Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be partnering with a leading Sheffield based service sector business in their search for a Finance Manager on a part time basis (3-4 Days).

 

This is a rare opportunity that has just come to market and will report into the Managing Director and support the wider Finance function and business. The role will predominantly include the preparation of monthly management accounts and acting as a number one in finance alongside managing the day-to-day aspects of the business accordingly.

 

This position offers complete ownership of the finance function and is perfect for candidates who come from an SME background with experience of end-to-end financial procedures. This role is ideal for a finance professional looking for autonomy in their role, which also has excellent work-life balance to manage other commitments outside of work.

 

Duties and responsibilities to include:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including variance analysis and commentary

  • Acting as number one within finance

  • Managing the day-to-day finances within the business

  • Completion of bank reconciliations

  • Cash management responsibilities including credit card accounts and petty cash

  • Review of business contracts schedule

  • Completion of VAT returns

  • Book-keeping duties including purchase ledger and sales ledger

  • Monthly KPI reporting

  • Responsibility for the continuous review of financial processes

 

Person Specification:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified or Qualified by Experience

  • Previous experience of working as a Finance Manager (desirable)

  • Previous experience of working within an SME (desirable)
