Backed by strong private equity investment, the company has experienced impressive growth and is now entering a pivotal phase of strategic expansion. With ambitions to scale operations and increase market share, this is a key time to join and make a real impact.

This newly created role will be a vital part of the finance team, working closely with senior leadership across the business. You will take ownership of financial reporting, support operational performance, and help guide strategic decision-making during this period of growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts with insightful variance analysis against budget and forecast.

  • Partner with manufacturing, operations, and commercial teams to enhance financial visibility and performance.

  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of financial information.

  • Manage balance sheet reconciliations and ensure up-to-date and accurate financial records.

  • Support audit readiness and liaise with external auditors as needed.

  • Drive the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes, aligning financial plans with business strategy.

  • Lead the development of commercial reporting, cost analysis, and margin tracking.

  • Evaluate capital investment proposals and contribute to strategic projects with financial insight.

  • Oversee fixed asset accounting, including depreciation and capex reporting.

  • Continuously improve financial processes and controls to support a scalable and efficient finance function.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a strong foundation in financial reporting and analysis.

  • Brings solid experience from a manufacturing or production-based environment, ideally within a multi-site or fast-growing business.

  • Possesses excellent communication skills and can work effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders across the organisation.

  • Demonstrates a proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.

  • Shows ambition and a desire to grow into more senior finance roles, such as Financial Controller.

  • Thrives in a dynamic, high-growth setting where flexibility, initiative, and adaptability are essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional to step into a high-impact role within a thriving, entrepreneurial manufacturing business. Based in Huddersfield, the role offers real scope for career development and the chance to help shape the future of the finance function as the business continues to grow.
