We are delighted to announce that we are recruiting with one of our favourite SME clients based in Sheffield, in their recruitment for a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. This business has over 30 years’ experience in their field, delivering specialist services to exceptionally high standards across South Yorkshire.

This position offers complete ownership of the finance function and is perfect for candidates who come from an SME background with experience of end-to-end financial procedures. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to self-govern their own work accordingly. In addition to autonomy, this role will form the business’s final seat on the senior management team alongside a handful of other directors.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Ownership of full production of monthly management accounts including balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and commentary

  • Ownership of cashflow forecasting processes

  • Presentation of board pack to SMT

  • Maintenance of Debtors, Creditors and General Ledgers

  • Posting supplier payments

  • Creating payment runs and raising payments to suppliers

  • Management of invoice discounting facility

  • Completion of weekly and monthly payroll processes

  • Completion of quarterly VAT returns

  • Assisting with external audit process – acting as a point of contact for auditors where needed

Person Specification:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified or Qualified by Experience

  • Previous experience of working as a finance manager (desirable)

  • Previous experience of working within an SME (desirable)
