Sharp Consultancy are proud to be working exclusively with a leading specialist business in Barnsley in their search for a Qualified Finance Manager reporting into the Finance Director.
You will be responsible for the finance department, ensuring all day-to-day accounting tasks are completed on a timely basis and recorded correctly and accurately in the ERP system whilst responsible for preparation of the monthly reporting pack, the weekly cash flow and the annual budget pack.

You will be a key member of the leadership team, reporting on business performance activities and working on projects with other department heads, whilst providing financial and commercial information that will influence and support business decisions.

This role is ideal for a qualified individual who is looking to take on more responsibility as the nature of this role will provide a generous amount of exposure to the implementation of new processes, controls and the day to day running of a full finance function within an SME environment.
Duties will include:
* Preparation of the monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow, in line with the current reporting process and deadlines
* Monthly analysis of accounts to monitor business performance against budget/forecast and provide recommendations
* Provide leadership on the company's finance to optimise the company's financial performance and influence decisions
* Support with targeted strategies, analysis, and ways to optimise margin
* Prepare weekly cash flow forecast ensuring alignment with financial objectives
* Carry out monthly balance sheet reconciliations, to include posting of accruals and prepayments
* Carry out margin analysis on selected works to establish the company's effectiveness and profitability
* Lead and manage the annual audit process in line with the Group's audit timetable, to include liaison with the external auditors

Person Specification:
* Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
* Previous experience of working within an SME environment
* Able to prioritise, develop work schedule, and influence others to achieve results
* Good communication and customer engagement skills
* Collaborate effectively with others to ensure business improvement and efficiency
