Finance Business Partner

Job description

 We’re partnering with a leading SME manufacturing organisation to recruit a proactive Finance Business Partner to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to play a pivotal role in supporting operational teams, driving performance, and influencing business decisions across the manufacturing function.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will be a trusted advisor to operational leaders, providing insight and guidance to improve profitability, efficiency, and strategic decision-making. You will combine demonstrable financial expertise with a hands-on understanding of manufacturing operations to deliver meaningful analysis and recommendations.

 

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Partner with manufacturing operations and senior stakeholders to provide commercial and financial insight.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes.

  • Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs, variances, and KPIs, highlighting opportunities for improvement.

  • Prepare management reporting, dashboards, and financial commentary to support decision-making.

  • Drive process improvement initiatives to optimise operational performance and cost efficiency.

  • Challenge and support operational teams to ensure financial discipline and effective control.

  • Contribute to capital investment planning and evaluation.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent with relevant experience.

  • Strong experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Proven track record in a finance business partnering role.

  • Excellent analytical skills and commercial acumen.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence at all levels.

  • Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) is highly desirable.
