Sharp Consultancy are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Temporary Finance Assistant to support a finance team in Malton, North Yorkshire. This role is ideal for someone with previous transactional finance experience, (sales ledger, purchase ledger or both) who is available at short notice and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for supporting the team with a range of transactional finance duties including.


  • Processing purchase ledger invoices, handling queries and making payments.
  • Raising sales ledger invoices and chasing for outstanding payments.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Supporting month-end procedures.
  • Handling finance-related queries from internal teams and external customers.
  • General administrative support to the finance department.


Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a transactional finance role.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive and flexible approach.

  • Salary up to £35,000 dependant one experience.
