Accounts Assistant

Job description

Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a family-owned SME based in Sheffield, who are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly finance team.

 

Key duties will include:

  • Managing the Purchase Ledger, including processing invoices and supplier queries

  • Maintaining the Sales Ledger and raising sales invoices

  • Credit control, building relationships with customers and managing aged debt

  • Completing bank reconciliations

  • Assisting with and processing payroll

 

About you:

  • Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant role

  • Comfortable working across multiple areas of transactional finance

  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills

  • Confident communicator, able to liaise with suppliers and customers

  • Happy working in an SME environment where flexibility and teamwork are valued

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to take on a varied, hands-on role within a stable and well-established business, where you will play a key part in the day-to-day running of the finance function.
