Graduate Finance Assistant

Job description

I am working on behalf of a successful and forward-thinking manufacturing business based in the Hull area, who are looking to recruit a Graduate Finance Assistant to join their finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to begin a career in finance, gaining hands-on experience in a busy accounts function and developing strong transactional finance skills.

 

The role:

  • Processing purchase invoices and matching to purchase orders

  • Assisting with sales invoicing and credit notes

  • Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable activities

  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries

  • Assisting with bank reconciliations and data entry

  • Maintaining accurate financial records and spreadsheets

  • Providing general administrative support to the finance team

 

The ideal candidate:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent)

  • Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills

  • A methodical and organised approach to work

  • Good IT skills, particularly Excel

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Ability to work well as part of a team
