Your role will support one of the key brands of the business. You will report directly into the Retail Finance Manager. One of the key responsibilities of your role will be to develop a solid understanding of the brand you are working directly with, whilst undertaking end to end responsibility for the specific brands financial affairs and performance. While working within this fast paced finance function your duties will include but not be limited to:
*Ensure accurate & timely month end accounts with insightful commentary.
*Balance sheet reconciliations - highlighting risks and opportunities.
*Posting journals.
*Challenge operational cost to ensure efficient practice.
*Provide accurate financial analysis to aid commercial decision making.
*Forecast and budget preparation.
*Supporting the continual review and improvement of procedures and key controls.
*Assisting with ad hoc projects.
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below experience:
*Be studying towards a full accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA).
*Have excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
*Analytical skills and high attention to detail.
*Retail experience preferable -some understanding of the challenges & KPI's in managing a retail business.
*Excel skills with the ability to use pivot tables and vlookups.
