This role has become available through expansion, as the company continue to invest in growing the finance team to provide a fantastic level of support to the business as they continue to grow.
As the Commercial Finance Analyst you'll have an extremely varied role, supporting the wider Finance team in producing financial information, providing accurate and timely reports to the business, with robust financial controls and value add commercial analysis.
This position will ideally suit a driven AAT/ACCA/CIMA part qualified individual with funding and study support provided. The successful candidate will be able to gain experience across a number of different areas of finance over the course of your studies and to develop and progress through the team/business.
The role will include:
*Produce timely and accurate month end results and reports, challenging the business to ensure the integrity of the P&L is maintained
*Take ownership of key cost areas of the P&L and provide insight and analysis to finance managers and business stakeholders, identifying and explaining variances to forecast
*Complete balance sheet reconciliations and controls
*Support the budgeting and forecasting process, helping to identify risks and opportunities
*Provision of contract analysis including KPIs
*Process sales and purchase ledger transactions
*Assist in the preparation of external reporting & compliance including interim and full year results, tax returns and statistical reporting
*Identify and implement financial controls to manage risks
*Continually review and improve finance processes
*Assist in financial projects
*Support the provision of information to external auditors and tax advisors
Person specification:
*Undergraduate degree at 2:1/ 1st or equivalent, preferably in a relevant subject (accounting/finance/business)
*Part qualified AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA
*Excellent Excel and analytical skills
*Ability to analyse data accurately and quickly
*Good attention to detail
*Ability to work quickly to tight timetables whilst maintaining the integrity of work produced
*Ability to recognise potential problems and propose solutions
*Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, in order to effectively engage a wide range of stakeholders
*Ability to network and build strong relationships
*Ability to prioritise to plan and manage multiple tasks
*Willingness to learn and progress
