Sharp Consultancy are excited to be partnering with a local independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Sheffield. Due to growth, they are now looking to bring in an impressive AAT Qualified Accountant to join their team.

 

Our client takes pride in their varied portfolio across local sole traders and SME businesses with a strong emphasis on larger engineering clients. The role will include accounts preparation, client bookkeeping and VAT returns and will eventually progress into managing your own client portfolio.

 

This is an incredibly ambitious firm we’re working with who have some impressive growth plans over the next few years. There is a modern office environment that has been invested into, as well as exposure to multiple software platforms.

 

Benefits to include:

  • Salary between £30,000 - £32,000

  • Fully flexible working

  • 1-day WFH

  • 25 days AL + 8 BH

 

Duties and responsibilities to include:

  • Process client invoices and perform bank reconciliations

  • Support with client book-keeping services

  • Maintain accurate financial records for a diverse client portfolio

  • Assist with the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns

  • Assist with the preparation and submission of CIS returns

  • Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts and financial statements

  • Provide support to clients directly over the phone and via email as and when required in the role

 

Person Specification:

  • AAT Qualified or Qualified by Experience
