Senior Management Accountant

The Senior Management Accountant role offers a comprehensive finance opportunity with diverse responsibilities. It provides substantial potential for both lateral and vertical career progression during your tenure with the company.

Reporting Directly into the Finance Director you will be responsible for:

  • Oversee the complete audit process from start to finish.

  • Prepare and post monthly accruals and prepayments.

  • Manage the month-end procedures for multiple entities of varying sizes.

  • Lead the analysis of monthly financial results and present findings to the board.

  • Prepare weekly cash flow reports, actualizing previous weeks and forecasting future cash flows.

  • Consolidate cash flows for all entities within the group.

  • Handle budgeting and forecasting activities.

  • Ensure timely payment of payroll, VAT, and HMRC obligations.

  • Review weekly payment runs and ensure all creditors are paid within agreed terms.

  • Monitor debtor accounts to ensure timely receipt of payments.

  • Supervise an Accounts Assistant.

  • Monitor stock levels for a manufacturing entity and report on stock positions at month-end.

  • Prepare annual statutory accounts.

  • Manage multiple bank accounts.

  • Complete ad-hoc tasks as requested by management.

  • Drive continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.

  • Manage stakeholder expectations effectively.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below experience:

  • ACCA/CIMA/AAT qualified with previous strong experiences within the finance function.

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Ability to adapt and pick up projects on an ad hoc basis.
