​A successful and fast-expanding marketing business based in Wakefield is looking to recruit a Commercial Accountant to strengthen its finance function. This role is ideal for a commercially focused finance professional who enjoys combining financial expertise with business insight to influence performance and support growth.

Working as a key link between finance and commercial teams, you’ll provide financial analysis, planning, and reporting that guides strategic decisions and drives results. This is a high-impact role with strong visibility and excellent progression potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis to support commercial objectives.

  • Business partner with commercial and operational teams to evaluate performance and identify opportunities.

  • Take the lead on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across key business areas.

  • Monitor key financial and operational metrics, offering clear, actionable insights.

  • Develop and review business cases and financial models to support new initiatives and investments.

  • Build collaborative relationships across departments to deepen commercial understanding.

  • Continuously improve financial processes, tools, and reporting efficiency.

  • Provide ad hoc support and analysis to senior finance and leadership teams.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in a commercial finance or management accounting role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence non-financial stakeholders.

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to business success.
