Senior Management Accountant

Successful business based in York currently require a Senior Management Accountant to join their growing finance function. The role is for a Management Accountant - offering an excellent all round finance opportunity, with varied responsibility and lots of exposure to commercial aspects of finance. They will provide huge scope for progression with vertical opportunities that will open up during your time in this business.

Reporting Directly into the Financial Controller you will be responsible for:

* Responsible for preparation of Monthly Management Reports including specific Group Reporting requirements in accordance with the timelines dictated by Corporate
* Reconciliation of bank accounts and control accounts
* Monthly Balance Sheet and P&L reconciliations
* Supporting the budgeting & forecasting with analysis on actuals
* Month end preparation and posting of prepayments, accruals, and other relevant journals
* Perform day to day accounting duties including overseeing the upkeep of all ledgers and cash books
* Assist the Board of Directors with preparation of budgets and forecasts as required by Group - responsible for input into Group Reporting System
* Manage develop and train the Assistant Accountant
* Responsible for reconciliation of and integrity of accrued revenue
* Responsible for monthly reconciliation of client commissioning account-prepaid income
* VAT returns
* Prepare information for and host audits required for production of statutory accounts and compliance with Group Reporting Requirements
* Manage develop and train the Assistant Accountant
* Other adhoc duties as required

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below experience:

* ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified with previous strong experiences within the finance function.
* Strong Excel skills
* Ability to adapt and pick up projects on an ad hoc basis.
