Hugely successful business based in Harrogate currently require a Management Accountant join their growing finance function. The role is for a Management Accountant - offering an excellent all round finance opportunity, with varied responsibility and lots of exposure to commercial aspects of finance. Assisting in the further development of, and timely provision of, high quality management information, providing insight to support recommendations, to facilitate trading, growth and the company's long-term strategic objectives.

Reporting directly into the Financial Controller you will be responsible for:

* To ensure the monthly management accounts are prepared and submitted in line with deadlines and accounting standards/company policies.
* Taking a lead on accruals, prepayments, and relevant reconciliations.
* Ensure the company payroll posting are accurate against budget figures.
* Take lead on; profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows (including variance analysis against forecasts and budgets).
* Manage collation of and communicate of weekly and monthly KPI's.
* Ownership of the financial processing and reporting in relation to the central project function.
* Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
* Contributing to creating accounts preparation efficiencies.
* Continuous improvement of controls and systems including transition to a new ERP and financial management system.
* Review financial data for accuracy and effectiveness.
* Production and development of accounting packs.
* Contribution to monthly and other financial management reporting meetings developing relationships with key stakeholders.
* Developing Relationships.
* To support on the annual external audit.
* Ad-hoc project work.
* To be committed to continuous improvement within the finance department and reporting.
* Assist with the preparation and submission of the VAT returns.
* Able to rapidly get to a working conversancy with a small number of third-party software packages for use on a more ad hoc basis. Experience with ERP packages is desirable.
* Support on ad-hoc tasks and reporting.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below experience:

* ACCA/ACA/CIMA part qualified with previous strong experiences within the finance function.
* Strong Excel skills
* Ability to adapt and pick up projects on an ad hoc basis.
