Management Accountant

 Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a fast-growing and ambitious business based in the Rotherham area.

 

This is a newly created role, offering a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team, playing a key role in delivering high-quality financial insight and supporting the continued growth of the business.

 

The position would suit a hands-on Management Accountant who enjoys working in a dynamic SME environment where you can genuinely influence decision-making and add commercial value.

 

The Role

As Management Accountant, you will take ownership of the monthly management accounts process, ensure accurate reporting while providing meaningful financial analysis to support strategic decisions. You will also play a key role in budgeting, forecasting and strengthening finance processes as the business continues to expand.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full production of monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis

  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations

  • Weekly cashflow reporting and monitoring

  • Managing foreign currency transactions

  • Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle

  • Ensuring finance processes and documentation are accurate and continuously improved

  • Managing and developing an Accounts Assistant

  • Producing supplier analysis and commercial reporting to drive efficiency

  • Overseeing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, including credit control and payment approvals

 

About You

  • Qualified, or part-qualified (ACCA / CIMA)

  • Strong management accounts experience

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

  • A commercial mindset, able to translate financial data into meaningful insights

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business

  • Confident managing and developing junior finance staff
