Finance Manager

Job description

We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing business in North Bradford to recruit a Finance Manager. Following a recent acquisition, the company is seeking a Finance Manager to join the leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping the business’s future.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Report to the Finance Director and MD, leading, mentoring, and developing the finance team, including performance management.

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  • Lead the month-end management accounts process.

  • Provide financial analysis to support business planning and strategic decision-making.

  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, challenging assumptions and reviewing outputs with senior management.

  • Partner with the senior leadership team to provide strategic financial guidance.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

  • Design and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures.

  • Manage year-end audits, VAT, PAYE, P11D, and corporate tax processes.

  • Serve as the primary contact for auditors, banks, and external advisors.

 

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:

  • CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification.

  • Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably within manufacturing.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, develop, and motivate teams.

  • Excellent technical knowledge of compliance, governance, and reporting.

  • Hands-on, commercially aware, and strategically minded.

  • Communication skills, confident engaging from shop floor to boardroom.

  • Comfortable on-site, demonstrating a collaborative and visible leadership style.

  • Advanced Excel and IT skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros, etc.
