Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with our client, a well-established and reputable company based in Wakefield, who are looking for a Payroll Officer to join their payroll function.

As Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for processing the monthly payroll for over 500 employees across multiple sites. You will also handle all aspects of payroll administration, such as tax, pensions, deductions, overtime, and statutory payments. You will ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and company policies and provide excellent customer service to employees and managers.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* Ideally previous experience in a similar payroll role
* A good working knowledge of payroll software
* A high level of numeracy and attention to detail
* A strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A proactive and flexible approach to work
