Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a leading manufacturing business based in Sheffield, that are looking for a payroll officer to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.
You will be responsible for processing the payroll of 300 weekly and 500 monthly employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax and legal requirements. You will also liaise with HR and finance departments, handle queries from staff and external agencies, and prepare reports and reconciliations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in a similar Payroll position, preferably within the manufacturing industry
- A good working knowledge of payroll software, such as Sage or Xero
- A high level of numeracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A professional and confidential approach
