Management Accountant

​We’re partnering with a rapidly growing, PE-backed leisure management group expanding its operations. They’re looking for a Management Accountant to strengthen the finance team by providing accurate reporting and financial insights that support strategic growth and decision-making.

We’re looking for a Management Accountant to support the Finance Director in producing accurate financial reports and management accounts across multiple entities. This fast-paced role involves detailed analysis to aid strategic decisions. Ideal candidates will have strong technical skills, thrive in dynamic environments, and show excellent communication and a proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full responsibility for the preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts.

  • Ensure all journal entries are accurate, supported by thorough analysis and appropriate documentation.

  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, clearly recording any discrepancies and integrating relevant items into the risks and opportunities tracker. Promptly investigate and resolve reconciling differences.

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external advisors to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.

  • Post bank transactions and support ongoing cash flow management.

  • Oversee the intercompany reconciliation process across the Group.

  • Manage payroll processing and ensure adherence to all applicable payroll regulations.

  • Provide timely, insightful financial reporting to the Finance Director and broader leadership team.

  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to enhance processes and deliver financial transparency.

  • Lead the year-end audit process and coordinate the preparation of statutory financial statements.

  • Support additional tasks and projects as required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)

  • Proficient in Excel and experienced with financial systems

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking

  • Clear communicator with a collaborative, team-oriented approach

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a commitment to continuous improvement
