Management Accountant

​Our client is a long‑established industrial manufacturer based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, now seeking to appoint a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. Following a period of operational investment and with further growth projects underway, the business has created this new role to strengthen its central finance function.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will play an integral role in supporting both site leadership and group-level operations. You will take responsibility for the day‑to‑day financial management of a designated business division, ensuring accurate reporting and providing meaningful insight to drive manufacturing and operational performance.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the full preparation of the monthly Management Accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations, KPI tracking and operational performance reporting.

  • Deliver clear financial insights to support strategic and operational decision‑making.

  • Oversee divisional cash management, including preparation of robust short‑ and medium‑term cash flow forecasts.

  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting cycle, ensuring accurate cost projections and alignment with production and operational plans.

  • Act as a trusted finance partner to operational, engineering and project teams, providing guidance that supports cost control, efficiency and continuous improvement.

  • Support and develop the finance team, assisting with workload planning, objective setting and annual performance reviews where required.

  • Maintain and manage the fixed asset register, including depreciation postings and oversight of asset controls across manufacturing sites.

  • Drive improvements in financial processes, enhancing reporting quality, system accuracy and timeliness across the division.
