Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a manufacturing business based in Rotherham in their recruitment for a Management Accountant. This business has made headway as a key manufacturer within the UK, supplying their unique products to a variety of industries.
This is a rare and fantastic opportunity for part-qualified and newly qualified individuals to cement their experience in a fast-growing, industry renowned local business. You will assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts and implementing financial systems - highlighting the diversity of this position.
This newly created role will report into the Financial Controller whilst having the opportunity to supervise a more junior member of staff. The ideal candidate will have experience of preparing management accounts alongside confidence in presenting business data to various stakeholders across the business.
Duties will include:
* Preparation of the monthly P&L for the UK division
* Preparation of accurate and timely financial statements
* Supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business
* Production of budgets and tracking variances to ensure budgetary control
* Preparation of financial forecasts based on market trends, business projections and operational plans
* Assist with maintaining internal controls alongside developing and implementing financial procedures
* Assist with implementing financial systems and technologies to enhance financial reporting, analysis
* Assist with internal and external auditors to facilitate financial audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements
* Support the Assistant Accountant in their development
Person Specification:
* Part-qualified or newly qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
* Strong business acumen and interest
* Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment (desirable)
