As an integral part of the senior finance function you will be expected to support the management accounts team, identify future opportunities, refine team objectives and adapt procedures. You will also support budget holders to understand their financial statements and prepare reliable budgets and forecasts.
The day to day duties will include:
*Monthly management accounts
*Prepare statutory annual accounts and supporting schedules and liaise with auditors
*Balance sheet reconciliations
*Quarterly VAT returns
*Maintain and update the fixed asset systems
*Ad hoc project work
The person:
*Experience in a public sector organisation is advantageous
*Strong excel user
*Highly experienced in budget preparation and month end support
*Good team player with the ability to liaise with non-finance staff
