Management Accountant

Job description

​We are partnering with a well-established and growing £35m t/o manufacturing business in Leeds to recruit a Commercial Accountant. Operating across multiple UK sites, this organisation is known for its strong market presence and commitment to quality and innovation.

This is a highly visible role within the finance team, offering the opportunity to work closely with operational leaders across the business. You will play a key role in driving commercial performance through insightful analysis and effective business partnering.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Act as a key finance partner to site and operational teams, supporting decision-making and improving financial performance across the group.

  • Business partnering with multiple UK manufacturing sites, supporting operational and commercial teams.

  • Providing financial analysis to drive profitability, efficiency, and cost control.

  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.

  • Producing weekly and monthly performance reports with clear, actionable insights.

  • Monitoring KPIs and identifying trends, risks, and opportunities across sites.

  • Supporting pricing, margin analysis, and cost optimisation initiatives.

  • Working site managers to challenge assumptions and improve financial understanding.

  • Assisting with investment appraisals and business cases for capital expenditure.

  • Driving continuous improvement in reporting, processes, and financial controls.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:

  • Proven experience in a commercial accounting or finance business partnering role.

  • Background in manufacturing, FMCG, or multi-site environment is highly desirable.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights.

  • Confident communicator, able to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.

  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is advantageous.

  • Proactive, hands-on, and driven to improve business performance.
