Main duties and responsibilities:
*Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow.
*Support with annual budget preparation and reporting
*Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth.
*Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are performed and variances are investigated and reported.
*Work with management within the businesses to ensure data and forecasts are sufficiently robust and perform variance analysis to both budget and forecast.
*Ensure that all financial transactions are correctly processed and appropriately reflected in the GL.
*Accountable to Finance Director for implementing agreed Group policies/strategies and achievement of agreed objectives.
*Support the team with technical accounting queries.
*Provide accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision making.
*Ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
*Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations.
*Adhoc projects as required by management.
*Completion and timely submission of VAT, Statutory and Government statistical returns, and assist in the preparation of the tax computations.
