Management Accountant

Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be recruiting a Management Accountant for a fast-growing business in the Rotherham area.

 

This is a newly created role, working closely with the senior leadership team to produce high-quality management information, drive financial insight, and support business growth.

 

The Role:

The Management Accountant will take ownership of the monthly management accounts process, provide accurate financial reporting, and deliver key analysis to inform decision-making. You will also play a vital role in budgeting, forecasting, process improvement, and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, annual budgets, and statutory accounts

  • Performing variance analysis and presenting insights to senior management

  • Creating dashboards and internal reports to support decision-making

  • Ensuring business units comply with internal accounting policies and local regulations

  • Conducting internal audits and maintaining proper accounting records

  • Reviewing internal audit matrices and highlighting risk areas

  • Supporting digitalisation and streamlining of month-end processes

  • Maintaining and improving financial systems and workflows

  • Liaising with external auditors and finance teams

  • Assessing the impact of changes in accounting standards

  • Advising on financial implications of business decisions

  • Completing ad-hoc projects as required

 

About You:

  • Studier, Part-Qualified or Fully Qualified (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA)

  • Strong A-Levels and analytical skills

  • Knowledge of FRS102 and experience with statutory/management accounts

  • Organised, logical, and able to prioritise work

  • Works well both independently and in a team
