Sharp Consultancy are working on a retained basis for a subsidiary of a large international group who are keen to appoint a new Finance Director on a fixed term based to cover a period of change management and growth, the role will be based within the Nottingham region, but flexibility will be offered regards working locations.

Our client is a highly profitable specialist, with a strong R&D influence throughout the sectors they operate with strong market presence and industry leading products.

Due to changes within the group structure and as part of their next stage of growth they are now looking to appoint a new Interim Finance Director who will take full ownership for the divisions finance leadership including Group reporting, P&L, balance sheet, cash, projects as well as MI development and reporting in particular at board level with responsibility for leading the financial details at monthly board meetings.

You will be reporting directly into the Group CEO and the ability to work closely with the divisional MD is essential.

Role overview

To lead and develop the UK finance team:

*Reporting across the whole of the division, with responsibility for all UK operations
*To lead the finance function at a board/senior level, including the management of a small team of direct reports
*Group financial reporting under IFRS
*Significant development of mentoring and communication lines throughout the finance and non-finance teams and business stakeholders
*To develop the current finance team to enable stronger and more accurate results for the function.
*Operational Accounting in particular significant improvements across the function ensuring greater control of key business decisions in line with the agreed business strategy and plans.
*Stronger controls and more accurate reporting around month and year end
*Cashflow forecasting
*Process developments and improvements
*Production of quality reporting, in particular analysis and MI for the non-finance departments with a clear operational and strategic direction


Qualifications and experience:
Fully Qualified - Essential
IFRS experience - Essential
Operational Accounting - Essential
Significant stakeholder management and Leadership - Essential
Project leadership - Preferred
Group reporting - Preferred


The role offers a guaranteed six months initially however the role could be extended before that should you wish to and may even allow for the successful candidate to become permanent fixture dependent upon the restructuring of the business in the next 12 months.
