Finance Manager

Job description

​We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join a leading professional services firm in Leeds, supporting the growth of their Group Finance team. In this role, you will lead a small team and take full ownership of group reporting, month-end and year-end close processes, maintaining balance sheet accuracy, and coordinating the audit process.

Key responsibilities as Finance Manager will include;

  • Prepare and coordinate monthly management accounts and associated reports, with oversight of key areas such as WIP, debt, and foreign exchange.

  • Review and challenge Group balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial control, accuracy, and proactively identify risks and opportunities.

  • Support the UK external audit to ensure an efficient process with minimal management letter points and assist international finance teams with local filings as required.

  • Act as the main point of contact for international Finance teams, providing guidance on monthly management accounts and year-end filings.

  • Reconcile reserves by legal entity, ensuring all statutory adjustments are accurately reflected locally and at Group level.

  • Lead, coach, and develop accountants and assistant accountants (2–3 team members) within the Financial Control team.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

  • Professionally qualified accountant with relevant industry experience.

  • Experience in partnerships and international finance is desirable but not essential.

  • Proven ability to work effectively across complex entities, systems, and countries, building strong relationships and influencing stakeholders.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
