A leading manufacturing business in North Yorkshire needs the help of an experienced Finance Business Partner for an initial 6-month fixed term contract.
Working as part of the wider finance team, you will act as a strategic finance business partner to the senior plant operations and engineering team. You will providing key finance business support to the manufacturing areas of the business.
Other tasks will involve:
* Producing value adding routine reports and supporting the quarterly forecast and annual budgeting process.
* Ad hoc analysis performed as required to ensure rigorous financial assessment on all manufacturing projects and Capital spend.
* Attend regular plant performance and review meetings and ad hoc meeting requests by the plant team and provide financial support
* Responsibility for the preparation and analysis of financial and management information for the plants.
* Perform financial closing for the plants, provide analysis, input and explanations including interpretation and explanation of usages, costs and variances.
* Preparation of periodical management reports and analysis at a plant level total delivered cost conclusions compared to annual standards and quarterly forecasts.
* To review, assess and report weekly on our risks and opportunities by plant with actions required to mitigate risks.
* To manage the plant manufacturing annual standard cost of goods process and quarterly forecast submissions.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a particularly good business but to be considered you must be a formally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and you must have extensive knowledge of the manufacturing sector. The companies head office is based in North Yorkshire, but this role can largely be worked remotely with occasional travel (a few times a month perhaps) to the HQ.
