Sharp Consultancy are working in partnership with a well-established and fast-growing SME client, who specialise in manufacturing and distributing in Sheffield. Due to high growth, our client is looking for a Head of Finance to join their team and support them on their growth plan.
This role will take full responsibility for the whole finance function, as well as IT and HR guidance as the business embarks on new projects and process improvements with a clear career pathway to progress to an FD with exceptional mentoring.
The role will be responsible for a small team, and you will be involved at all levels within the business, with stakeholder management, board level reporting and guidance key to the role.
Responsibilities and duties:
* Responsible for the production of monthly management accounts information, annual forecasting, and budgeting
* Control and monitoring of operational budgets
* Responsible for payroll, pension, insurance, life and health covers and fleet administration
* Strong finance leadership
* Work with senior team to deliver strategic plan, business targets and objectives, formulating tactical plans and priorities
* Responsible for leadership, training and development, control and monitoring of the accounts team
The package is very competitive, with a hybrid working environment should it be needed, and the location is a very easy commute, based close to the M1 in Sheffield.
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant and have the necessary people skills and technical ability to work within an SME entrepreneurial owner managed business. Any experience in a growth environment would be highly beneficial but not essential.
