Sharp Consultancy are currently recruiting exclusively on behalf of an instantly recognisable international business with UK Headquarters based in the London city region.
The UK subsidiary is part of a large International group and they are now looking to recruit a Group Accountant to oversee the group finance function with a direct career path to FD.
Our client has a first-class working environment and location, with an excellent benefits scheme as well as significant career progression. As part of the role, you will be reporting directly into the UK FD with a dotted line into the Group CFO.
The role will take full responsibility for all group financial reporting activities and will play an integral part within the groups finance function, the key deliverables within the role can be split into;
* Management of a small reporting finance function
* Leading the day-to-day finance activities including; Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly accounts and financial reporting
* Management of the P&L and balance sheet, in particular providing commentary towards senior stakeholders
* Management of the UK Audit, VAT and Stats
* Influencing and leading the implementation of a new accounting system, with the opportunity to own the project should you wish
* Management of the payments and journal entry processes
* Ownership of the internal control process, including SOX and treasury liaison
You must be a qualified accountant, preferably chartered and ideally having qualified within a top 20 firm with significant ambitions to become a divisional finance director within an employer of choice. Any experience of team management and team leadership would be advantageous although not essential.
